With the holidays just around the corner, we wanted to share a super simple toddy recipe with an extra kick of cinnamon that’s sure to warm you up!
Cinnamon Hot Toddy
The toddy couldn’t be easier to make. Just two ingredients (plus a bit of garnish)!
- Warm up some quality apple cider. You can warm a single cup’s worth or a whole gallon if you’ll be serving a crew.
- To each cup of warm cider, add a shot of cinnamon whisky.
- Garnish the mugs with whatever spices you have on hand. I used star anise, but I think any combination of star anise, cinnamon, and whole cloves would be nice. The garnishes look nice, but they also add an aromatic touch to toddy.
The cinnamon whisky has a lower proof than vodka. If you’d like to create a more potent drink, you could blend 1 oz cinnamon whisky + 1 oz vodka to each cup, but personally, I love the hot kick of using just the whisky.
