Ready for the recipe?

Scoop some quality vanilla ice cream into a glass, pour a shot of espresso over it, and enjoy! Simple, right?

Granted, not everyone has an espresso machine.  If you don’t, but have been craving some homemade espresso affogatos, a stovetop espresso maker is the perfect solution. And while you’re at it, get a set of these super cute & durable espresso glasses for serving.

Or you can do what I do, look for affogatos on the dessert menu. Many cafes and Italian restaurants offer this dessert, but it can be easily overlooked if you aren’t familiar with the word affogato.

And when I mentioned using a quality ice cream, I want to share our secret. Trader Joe’s French Vanilla ice cream is amaze-balls. It’s rich and delicious like Haagen Dazs.
