Visiting the Louvre

We’re spending three months in Barcelona with a few mini trips squeezed in! You can see our Barcelona posts here, and more Paris posts here.

While in Paris, one of our bucket list items for the boys was to visit the Louvre. They are museum-lovers through and through, and they 100% know DaVinci and the Mona Lisa, so it made sense to give them this memory as part of the trip.

What I wasn’t prepared for was how their current reading binge would impact our visit!

Creating a travel budget is easier than you think. There are a couple ways to go about it, either you go in with no expectation and determine what you need to have the dream vacation you desire or you have a pre-determined budget that you’d like to confine yourself to. Both of these scenarios still require a decent amount of planning and research if you intend to be successful. First, we will cover how to create a budget, second we will discuss strategies for sticking to the budget, we’ll cover what happens if you think your budget is too tight, and lastly I’ll share a few travel budget examples.

Sorry dudes! I don’t want to mislead you and have you think I know the best travel shoes for you, I have a good idea of what they are, but I definitely know the best travel shoes for women. I’m not going to overwhelm you with a huge list. These are my all-time favorite travel shoes and of course, they’re more style suggestions than anything. You don’t have to get the exact brands and colors to make them a great shoe, but here’s what I’ve worn around the world. Some international flights are so damn long that the only thing you look forward to is the distraction provided by the next meal. The lights turn on and the flight attendants start to take formation, lining up behind their carts ready to serve, but you’re in the last row and there are literally 400-600 people ahead of you in line. Waiting for honestly what could be an hour is killer, especially if you’re starving, but luckily I’ve stumbled upon a hack for getting served first on international flights. Continue reading
