We’re spending this month in our favorite little Chesapeake town, Saxis, VA. These are a few photos from last year’s trip.
There’s one main road that runs the length of town. It’s quiet enough that you can walk down the street to the museum. Last year sweet little Luc took his time walking to the museum (with his little flowered wallet!).
What a kid!
Once at the museum, the boys spend some time on the porch talking to the locals. Last year they learned about how the duck decoys are made. Once inside, they love looking at the old fishing and crabbing gear… and Alex dreams about catching the next big crab!
On our big beach days we head over to Chincoteague for sand, sun, and waves! These are beach babies.
And then it’s back to Saxis for outdoor showers, bug hunts, and dessert on the porch.
It’s the best of the best summer days. And we’re counting our lucky stars.
