I have the perfect Halloween cake for you.

I made our favorite carrot cake with purple carrots. They added a purplish/blackish hue to the cake which I think is the perfect understated touch for a Halloween dessert.

• When it comes to frosting, I love the coconut milk buttercream recipe in the cake post, but, I also think something a little bit more tangy would be on point for Halloween. Make your favorite cream cheese frosting then add 1 tsp lemon juice and 1.5 tsp lemon zest.
