On World Oceans Day people around the planet celebrate and honor the body of water which links us all, for what it provides humans and what it represents. Summer Solstice Celebration is the largest arts event in Santa Barbara, a 3‑day festival and Parade. Saturday’s Parade on State Street draws crowds of 100,000 spectators. It is a creative, multicultural experience with human‑pushed floats, giant puppets, whimsical costumes and masks, drumming, dancing. It makes its way to the festival grounds at Alameda Park, where the Festivities continue.
